Overall, a good joint, good for kids. Friendly staff. You pay resort prices at the hotel, for convenience. Everything is cheaper outside the hotel which is to be expected. They do however need to fix the pool situation. Many people will go to the pool when it opens in the morning, put a towel or belongings on a pool chair and then leave for an indefinite period of time. I saw many people leave for 2 + hours before returning. This means no one can use the chair in the meantime. This isn't monitored by the resort

I’ve been returning to Hard Rock Hotel Bali every year for the past 8 years except during covid restrictions. Rooms are clean, location is fantastic, Jamie Oliver restaurant is our favourite. That’s why the 2 stars. However, over years the service quality has declined. We always know that checking in before 3pm is always a problem - we won’t be able to get our room. We purposely planned our arrival at 330pm this round, yet still, we are asked to wait. The breakfast buffet is a nightmare, overcrowded and the selection is not great. Worst experience this round is at their pool area - Cabanas are not available, decks fully taken, floats fully taken, no games being organised - basically nothing much to enjoy. The security at the pool entrance doesn’t make sense - they don’t allow us to bring the hotel towels down (we were also stopped by the towel counter staff from bringing the pool towel back to hotel; basically means u have to own ur own cover or just be left shivering), their signboard says no food n drinks allowed but the guard allowed those bought from their hotel cafe but not ordered from outside. Also, their kids club carpet has a strong stench. In all, no longer welcoming anymore.

Standard as expected for the hard rock. Lovely friendly staff. Beachfront location, free parking, big pool. Lots of very excited children in the pool. The food wasn’t great and tasted like typical fast food, but there are plenty of other places a short walk away. Very close to the airport.

For Bali standards the number of facilities is good but it’s definitely getting heavily aged. The service is definitely lacking in every area except the bell staff were amazing to work with. The food manages to be enough at breakfast (and the buffet dinner) but unfortunately that feels like what they lean on to make up for underwhelming quality. I also appreciate that they are no smoking, but it would be nice to have a bar somewhere you could have some drinks and a smoke, if not a pool. Walking from your room to the front of the hotel isn’t ideal (again my bad choosing to book this place) having spent today at “splash park” booking a cheap hotel and using the left over cash to head there for the day, you’d have a heap left over, and a much better experience. You could even have a driver for the whole day.

Good location, room was clean and new. Pool was cool kids loved the sand island and sand bottom and kids area. Lots of places to shop and eat within a short distance of the hotel. Kids club was good to enjoy lunch without kids.
