Astamana Villa

I have been staying in Astamana Villas now for 7 months. The staff is very friendly and helps out with any request that comes up. The villa is located 10 min from Canggu center. I enjoy that it’s very close to everything but yet not too busy with traffic around so it’s very quiet. There are amazing cafes and restaurants just a few minutes away. The villa is clean and has a good standard, it’s two floors and I can even see the sunset from upstairs. The pool is clean and refreshing to jump into. I can really recommend Astamana Villas if you want a quiet spacious place and helpful staff.

Photos do not correspond to reality. the pool is always dirty, the air conditioners don't work well. problems with wifi and water pressure. baths are not full, leaking and not enough hot water. shower is terrible too. the cleaning was done very badly, all 2 floors were washed with one rag, the dust was not wiped off. under the bed a layer of dust 1 centimeter, cobwebs. furniture is old. the owner and staff are not responsive to problems. Every day I asked to clean the pool for a month. it has not been cleared. the villa is all glazed, but the windows are dirty. I asked to clean the windows, but the staff simply decided not to respond to the request. The communal pool is also always dirty. the staff just pours the chemical solution into the pool and that's it. plus there are rats in the villa. they run across the ceiling. at night they go to the kitchen in search of food.

Please don’t book this place if you are planning to visit Bali. We were a group and we have had the worst experience in this villa. The management didn’t do anything for all the trouble that had occurred to us. 1st day the AC’s did not work and they asked us to adjust ice that day and the second day they did not fix it. We asked for a replacement villa and they agreed to do so by the time we visit and come back on the second day. But when we come back they didn’t make any arrangements. And the same day the water stopped working as the motor in the villa got spoiled. And they asked us to take shower in the swimming pool and use the common toilet. And they issued went on the third day too and we vacated the villa as they clearly didn’t know how to manage the villas. The toilets were dirty and full of insects too and the property is old and clearly shows that it’s not maintained.

This 3 bedroom villa is very dirty. Ants crawling everywhere. no air-con in the living room. Pathetic slow ceiling fan only that cannot be adjusted. and if u leave the door open alfresco style, the amount of mosquitoes and flies will bug you as the place is located in the middle of paddy field. It is not equipped with proper anti-mosquito repellants and such like other villas ive stayed in before. Air-con in bedrooms need servicing really desperately. can hardly feel any cool breeze. Location of villa is also not ideal and nothing nearby. not convenient at all. Don't be deceived by the photos. Regretted our stay. highly NOT recommended.
